Yup, another "cross-class" discussion here. Love it when students from different classes interact!

Like all other issues, the definition is important here.

Freedom in what sense? Freedom to information? Syuaib and Yiming, that's what you mentioned.

And yes, I do agree with both of you that teenagers have so many avenues to so many sources of information.

AC-- you are speaking more of "freedom of choice" -- the ability to make our own decisions.

So, to the group doing this (is it syuaib's group?) -- define freedom first! :)

    Good point.

A key word here is, "too much"

HOw do we define too much?

no.. we do not have too much freedom, because not all parents are so lenient with their children. Futhermore.. we are bring tied down by our school work. We don't have much time for ourselves

    Yiming and Carmen

So, where do you think we draw the line between

    freedom AND too much freedom?

Others on this blog, you might want to give examples of the two.

i personally think that teenagers of different ages have a different limit of freedom.Take for example, a 18 yr-old teen is allowed and given the freedom to watch M18 movies, clubbing, drinking. That's their freedom. But if they're not restricted, and violated the rules by maybe watching R21 movie. Doing things which a 18 yr old shouldnt then i think they're having too much freedom.

Think Weesing has provided a rough idea of how this group can start to define "freedom". good one, weesing.

eLearning week is now officially over. If you choose to blog on to discuss more with your group members, do go on. This will definitely help you in your discussion café.
I would be still accessing this whenever I can.

With Freedom, comes responsibilities, and for teenagers, when theres more freedom theres bound. True maybe now there might be more freeom then ten or twenty years back, however theres also been an increase in restrictions, for example, the recent adding of a rule governing teenagers, teens under 17 cannot stay outside on the streets after 12, in the past, maybe our parent generation, they might be playing outside or having supper somewhere, or hanging out at the beach.Dont be mistaken, this is a reasonable rule, as it make sure teenagers are safe at home instead of roaming somewhere, however this shows that, maybe there are more freedom, however there are also more restrictions. Hence i felt that teenagers in singapore are having appropriate amoun of freedom, and most are able to handle the responsibilities that comes with it.
